Baby new baby Payton

I have a new baby that I have to watch over. I thought I would share these pictures of Payton and the rest of my family with you. My Aunti Carol with Jovin came to visit me from San Diego, as well as my Grandma Marjorie, Grandma Betty & Grandapa Ken that came from far away places just to see me. Then of course there is my Mommy Kristine and Daddy Hank.

ON THE WAY TO TEXAS

Whiteman Air Force Base, home of the stealth bomber. Of course we could only take a picture of the model. Whiteman was just a short ways from Sedalia. We stopped in the commisary and exchange.

Kitty says "I finally get a chance to relax, as I have been working to hard at these shows"

This is a Tornado shelter at a campground we stayed at overnight in Oklahoma. We don't think we want to spend very much time here.

These are some buildings from downtown Sedalia, Missouri again like the fairgrounds most of Main Street and a lot of other buildings are on the historic register and from the 1800's. Sedalia is the home of rag-time and Scott Joplin. It also was the railhead for the early cattle drives. The Union Pacific still runs through the city as well as 1 amtrack train a day. The first picture is of Bothwell Hotel which is fully restored and an operating hotel. There is also a very nice restaurant the Ivory Grill in the hotel. We ate their twice and I am sure it is the best in Sedalia. The picture below and to the right with Betty is the lobby. The others pictures are of the library, an old bank building currently under restoration and a couple of churches.

State Fairgrounds, Sedalia Missouri

In Both May then again in July we did two RV shows at Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia, Missouri. The fairgrounds is a national historic landmark some of which was built in the late 1800's. It is a large facility as it can support many different events at the same time in addition it has 3500 full hook-up campsites. The weekend we took these pictures was 4th of July weekend. There was the Family Camping and RV club we were attending with 550 RV,s, a Horse show, A classic car event, A dog show and of course fireworks at night. The first pictures are of the riding ring, and the other is the swine barn. really both very nice old structures.

CAPE MAY, AT THE JERSEY SHORE

THE CAPE MAY BEACH

These pictures are for those people that have heard us talk about Cape May and the Jersey shore but have never seen it. This shot is taken from the Promenade and shows the dunes, the beach and the Alantic Ocean in the background. The cottages in the next shot are refered to as the "three sisters" for obvious reason. They are private residences. Another picture of two of the typical Cape May houses with gingerbread rim. A great deal of them are B&B's including the two tone green ne called The Abbey. The large building with all the columns is Congress Hall. It has been renovated but the original dates back to the late 1800's and a president did sleep there. There is a pedestrian mall in the city of Cape may with lots of places to shop and eat. The last 3 pictures are of B&B's across the street form the ocean - they are the Angel of the Sea, the Sea Mist and the Peter Shields Inn. Cape May remains one of our favorite places and hopefully, some of you will get the chance to visit.
