FORT MYERS FLORIDA

Next stop was Fort Myers Beach with an en route visit to the Thomas Edison and Henry Ford winter estates.  Thomas Edison found the area first then convinced his friend, Henry Ford, to winter there also.  The grounds are beautiful with many local varieties of plants and flowers as well as a beautiful view of the river.  While staying in Fort Myers many of the guests explored the neighboring islands of Sanibel and Captiva.  The staff also hosted a barbeque of burgers, hot dogs and all the fixin's.  Monte and Lon served as our cooks with the hats make it official.  Excellent burgers and dogs and a fun evening.
