OCALA

Our next stop was at the Ocala Sun RV park where there was a very nice club house for us to use so our first night's social included a game of Bean Bag Baseball. A good time was had by all with lots of laughs and plenty of base hits and home runs.  After happy hour we took several couples to Stumpknockers which is a popular local restaurant serving local foods like gator bites, cat fish and frog legs.  Those of us who went had a great time dining al fresco along the Withlacochee river.  For those interested. a stumpknocker is a small fish that is found around the cypress trees that line the rivers.
The next day had us doing a bus tour of some of the horse farms in the Ocala area, a delicious BBQ lunch at Kimberden South ranch and a carriage ride in the countryside as well as a visit to Silver Springs State Nature Park and a ride on the famous glass bottom boats.
