QUEBEC CITY, CANADA

After Montreal we drove to Quebec City for a visit to one of our favorite cities.  It is like being in Europe.  The city is divided in to the upper and lower cities with the upper part being the oldest. You can walk, drive or take the funicular stairway between.  Our bus trip included a walking tour of the lower city on a very cold and windy day and a much warmer bus ride through the upper part.  We then left the city for a drive through the countryside with stops at Montmorency Falls for lunch and a view of the falls - by the way, they freeze solid in the winter - as well as a visit to a Copper works and the Ste Anne de Beaupre  Basilica. At the copper works we learned that the family did all the copper work at the basilica.
The next morning, we made "eggs in a bag" which are also called "bag omelets".  It is always a fun thing to do since there is always at least one or two people who have never done them.  The rest of the day was free for our guests to return to Quebec or to just relax  and later that evening we met at the Ciel Bistro Restaurant in the city for a wonderful dinner in a beautiful restaurant that revolves slowly so that we had a 360 degree view of the city.
I made mention of the cold because, even though we were enjoying the warm weather until we got to Quebec, the leaves were not changing color.   So now we are hoping to see the colors that we are here to see.
